Mississauga Doors, If you are installing the internal door from the beginning (without per-hanging it), measure the width and height of the opening. Height is not so important. This is because internal doors, especially bathrooms, can leave some space between the bottom of the door and the threshold area for ventilation.

When measuring width, there may be differences in measurements at the top, center and bottom.
The narrowest measurements should take into account at least the width of the door and about 1/4 of the total space on both sides.
Remove the old door and hinges and place the new hinges on the door one by one. The new door can be cut to the required width with a circular saw. A saw guide can be used to ensure accurate cutting.
Then place a few (more than bent) doors on the floor below the doors and attach only one (half) new hinge to the opening door. The hinge barrel is in front of you.

Then, while lifting the door, place the pedestal on the floor with your feet in and slide it until there is space at the top. Take one or two other wedges and place them on top to keep the gap and door in place. Press until it stops. Maybe you should push them sideways instead of inside. The distance is only 13/8 “, so do the same on the side of the door. Now that the door is exactly where you want it, take a pencil and mark the top and bottom of the door hinges. You can tap it with the chisel at the top to match the location.

Tap to mark the contour, place it with a chisel and secure it with screws. Insert the door into the opening, connect the hinge leaf, and insert the pin into the hinge cylinder.

If it is slightly off, loosen the screw, tighten the hinge leaf slightly, and then retighten the hinge screw. Drill for locking. Install the lock. Then open and close the door to see if there is enough space without clamping. The door must be closed relative to the stop.
